Design Dance is seeking an Office Coordinator to join our team. We are a for purpose, mission-driven business, seeking a dynamic addition to our small but tight knit group. Design Dance was founded in 2008 out of a passion to bring dance to students throughout the Chicagoland area through unique, collaborative partnerships with schools and community centers. Our programming is designed to build courage, connection and self-awareness through innovative curriculum, a dedicated teaching staff and a commitment to meeting the needs of the communities we serve. Each student, regardless of ability level, is empowered to better express themselves and share stories through movement, performance and collaboration.

About You

The Office Coordinator is responsible for managing all backend details of the business operations.  This includes: phone correspondence, email upkeep, data entry, data management, schedule and calendar management, accounts payable and receivable, event logistics, online registration management and website upkeep.  A successful Office Coordinator is an excellent administrator: gaining pleasure from task-oriented, detail-dependent work and developing and maintaining systems for efficiency.

The Design Dance team is positive, solutions-oriented and collaborative.  An ideal addition to our team will bring positivity and energy to their role, supporting ongoing company growth through the maintaining of daily business procedures.  

The Office Coordinator must be available to work at our River North co-working space during regular work hours (9am - 5pm) on weekdays.

Responsibilities Include

1. Maintaining the day to day operations of the business

  • answering phones

  • responding to parent and client inquiries

  • maintaining databases

  • invoicing

  • accounts receivable management

  • online registration management

  • overseeing a complex calendar for all programs

2. Event Logistics Coordination

  • Oversee logistics for our annual spring showcase including communications with families, ordering of costumes and supplies and correspondence with our team of instructors

Compensation for this position is $34,000 + benefits.
