In-School Residency

Design Dance’s residency program is uniquely designed to be implemented into a school’s curriculum. It includes a variety of classes that cover major aspects of dance and a plethora of performing arts concepts, while keeping the heart of the Design Dance concept in mind as we teach elements of choreography, story development and innovative thought processes.

DANCE CONCEPTS
• An understanding of basic dance technique and concepts in the forms of ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and contemporary style
• An understanding of the benefits of fitness in a healthy lifestyle
• An understanding of color and visual sequencing
• A fundamental understanding and appreciation for movement/performing arts history
