Kimberly Schomburg
Kimberly Schomburg is thrilled to be an On-Site Instructor for Design Dance. While Kimberly began dancing ballet and jazz at the age of four, her excitement for teaching developed as a teenager with her high school dance team. Kimberly attended Michigan State University, where her passions for modern dance, choreography, and dance production developed. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Dance.
After moving to Chicago, she began teaching and coordinating the After School Dance Program and Summer Dance Camp for Chicago Park District at South Shore Cultural Center. She collaborated and produced quarterly Performing Arts Productions for students ages four to eighteen.
Kimberly is also Exercise Safety Certified and has been teaching fitness around Chicago and Evanston for four years. Kimberly is currently teaching ballroom dance to fifth graders in Chicago Public Schools. Kimberly is an active dancer and performer in Chicago. She is in her second season with modern company, think/dance collective, and has also performed professionally as an independent dancer for the past four years. She has been honored as a guest instructor for Teen Arts Expo III, Community Rhythms 3, Elementary Dance Scholarship Program, Having A Ball Boot Camp, and ARRC Ballet.
