Testimonials
The following are words from a few of our wonderful clients. If you have had an experience you’d like to share with us, we’d love to hear it! Please email all feedback to debra@designdance.net.
“Design Dance was / is a great fit for our “little ballerina”. The classes were held at a convenient time and the price was right but, more importantly, our child loved her teachers and Miss Debbie. They provided a comfortable setting and exuded joy for the teaching of dance. For our child, dance became something that has structure and discipline, but is also an outlet for exuberant expression. Our daughter won’t take classes from anyone else! Design Dance also creates additional outreach days, such as Holiday Dance Parties, and they are so much fun! Our kids always look forward to a Design Dance party."

Dear Debra Giunta,
Many thanks to you for the Design Dance, Story Time Dance series held this past summer on Mondays for children ages 3-6 years. The program was well-attended and engaging for both children and adults. All were impressed and delighted with the format, stories, music and instructor involved. Parents provided much positive feedback and thanked us for the offering. The program was age appropriate, creative, and innovative and helped to make our summer reading program, Book Beats, a huge success! Congratulations on such a fine dance series!
Sincerely,
Mary Frueh-Lardie
“For the program that you offered for my daughter in the summer, it beautifully addressed what I would consider a 360 degree approach to learning about dance.
Really, it wasn’t only dance she learned. I observed her closely- and watched my child grow in many areas.
You encouraged her to first develop her thoughts about the three different types of dance she chose to perform. This addressed her planning and organization skills. You also encouraged her to write about her ideas and feelings about the presentation she would do. This helped to develop her communication and writing skills. It also increased her awareness of her feelings and emotions and how to articulate them through writing and movement.
She needed to give a small presentation to the studio prior to her selected dance, helping her with public speaking. She had to listen to the music and describe the type, the style and the emotion the music provided. She learned different styles of dances- modern, classic and also how to dance with a partner. You provided a basic foundation of these dance styles so she could draw on them for her future projects.
You made dance fun for her and developed rapport with the girls in your class. This is not to mention the education you provided about the health benefits of dance, and how dance increased her strength and body awareness. You made the program a beautiful experience so she can appreciate that dancing is something she can have for life and use to keep her body and her mind healthy.
I have not found another teacher in the city that has addressed so many of these areas! Your program that summer was one tough act to follow."
