Design Dance is seeking a School Programs Coordinator to join our team for the Spring 2018 Term. This part-time, temporary role will report to the Director and will oversee grant-funded in-school youth programs between February - June 2018.
Design Dance was founded in 2008 out of a passion to bring dance to students throughout the Chicagoland area through unique, collaborative partnerships with schools and community centers. Our programming is designed to build courage, connection and self-awareness through innovative curriculum, a dedicated teaching staff and a commitment to meeting the needs of the communities we serve. Each student, regardless of ability level, is empowered to better express themselves and share stories through movement, performance and collaboration.
The School Programs Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing program quality in assigned school programs, building and maintaining meaningful connections with school administrators, and providing value based feedback to our team of teaching artists to support the impact of the classroom programs. The School Programs Coordinator will also communicate with parents and students to build community at our school sites as well as coordinating year-end showcases in the spring.
